All these shows I am going to list played a big role in my childhood. They bring back so many good memories when I was young and innocent. Sometimes I wish I could go back to these days. These shows will represent how I’m a true 90s baby lol.
Amanda Show (1999): The Amanda show always had funny skits. My favorite skits were The Girls Room lol and Moody’s Point.
Moesha: I looked up to Brandy Norwood (Moesha). She represents a good role model for younger females I’m still a fan of her. I admired how smart Moesha was & how much fun she had with her friends. I wish I spent my teenage years living life carefree in a good way. Another cool thing about Moesha is that she wanted to become a journalist which is the career I want in the future.
All That (1994-2005) : I love the skits and the singers that performed at the end of the show. Every character on the skits had their own special talent. Too bad they don’t show the reruns on tv anymore.
Sister, Sister (1994) : The twins Tia and Tamera were always so funny and opposite from each other. They made me want to have a twin I could be around all the time. My favorite season of Sister, Sister has to be when they start going to college. It showed how the twins matured.
Reading Rainbow (1983-1999) : The real reason why I loved this show as a child because I loved reading books so much. The theme song of the show is catchy to me. I’ll put a clip of the theme song on here. I would watch this show every day. Here’s the theme song link from youtube (skip to 0:36 on the video) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQWrlTtrRFQ
As told by Ginger (2000): I love how Ginger had deep emotions that she wrote about in her journal. In a weird way, I always could feel a connection with her problems on the show. The best time to watch this show is late at night when you don’t have anything to do.
That’s So Raven (2003-2007): I loved Raven personality so much! It was full of life. She always was entertaining on this show. She reminded me of my cousin lol. I used to look up to Raven also. I always imagine myself having physic visions like her. They are coming out with a That’s so Raven 2 soon. I know it won’t be the same as the original show, though. I will put in the clip that Raven talks about That’s So Raven Part 2. Here’s the link from YouTube with Raven talking about That’s so Raven 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gt46lfffXrg
During the 90s and early 2000s when these shows came out they actually had characters in the shows who were role models. I’m not trying to bash the kid shows that are out now. I just appreciate the shows that were out when I was growing up as a kid.
