Open Letter Entry #2: Negative Thoughts Disturbing my Peace

As much as I try to be a positive person I always have this demon attacking me. The demon is negative thinking. Every time I’m minding my own business trying to live my best life the negative thoughts come creeping in. Like can you leave me alone?? I’m good without you bothering me. Ughhhh!!

When those type of thoughts put me in a shitty mood I want to spazz out on everybody. I will have the urge to go on a crazy rant on social media but I grew from doing that. My followers don’t need to see me acting out of character because of how I am temporarily feeling. Whew, the power of my thoughts used to be able to take control of my toxic actions.

In case you didn’t know I battle with anxiety. So, that plays a role in my negative thinking too. Plus, it makes me over analyze situations that are going on around me. My anxiety makes my head go CRAZY!! If you are diagnosed with anxiety too then you know exactly what I’m talking about.

Good thing I am doing better at converting those negativethoughts into positive ones. I’m not going to lie there are some days where I’m like f*ck it. Then I let my overthinking ruin my mood for a while. Yes, I know that’s not a good thing to do. That’s why I’m working hard on fighting the negativity. Having a healthy mindset is my main goal. The healthier my mind is the more I can live a happy life. I’m not letting no negative thinking alter my life.

Life is so much better when I don’t have to worry about negative thoughts disturbing my peace. Peace of mind is what I need in this chaotic world. How do you cope with having negative thoughts? Share your thoughts in the comment section.

    “How do you cope with having negative thoughts?”
    Imma be real,Writing dark poems, watching battle rap, violent movie, smoking and taking long walks is how I cope with my negative thoughts.
    For me watching inspirational videos, and listening to positive music makes me to overthink more so i do the opposite and this actually helps me no lie.

    1. Oh wow it’s interesting to know how you cope with your negative thoughts. I don’t see it as a bad thing though. We all handle things differently.

  2. You are not alone sis many of us feels this way. & just like you I would rant on social media but now I work with organizations and volunteer a lot so that doesn’t look good on my part. I started to feel like If I can’t rant on social media who else would listen to me but that’s when I decided to rant to God. I started taking more breaks from social media, started reading my word , praying and hanging around positive people that enjoys lifting me up
