Use Positive Words to Describe Yourself

I decided to do an acrostic poem with my full name. You probably did one of these poems in elementary school. I chose positive words that described me. Remember everyone it’s always good to think positive about yourself. For anyone that reads this post, you should try this acrostic poem also. See what positive words that describe you.

Daydreamer

Educated

Special

Trustworthy

Intelligent

Natural

Youthful

Creative

Honest

Ambitious

Nice

Enticing

Loveable

Leader

Artistic

Loyal

Legendary

Empathetic

Nocturnal

Do this poem in the comment section using your first name. I enjoyed doing this poem. It’s something fun to do on your spare time. Also, it a good activity to boost up your confidence because you’re finding positive words to describe yourself. You can try other themes with this poem too.

Why I’m Glad I Discovered That I Have Anxiety

It all started back in middle school when I was in the 8th grade. I noticed a change in myself. I knew the feeling of depression but had no idea what anxiety was then. Reflecting back I realized I showed signs of anxiety. This is why I always felt uncomfortable.

There were times when I tried to explain to my mom how uncomfortable I felt in the school classrooms. She thought I was talking nonsense. I wish she would’ve taken me more seriously back then. Maybe I would’ve found out earlier that I had anxiety. Sometimes she still acts funny when I talk about what I go through with anxiety.

Later on, when I started blogging that’s when I discovered what anxiety was all about. Most people in the blogging world suffer from anxiety and depression. I could relate to them because they been through the same experiences as me. There was a sense of relief to know everything I experience was real and I wasn’t crazy.

As a matter of fact, there are nights that I can’t go to bed without my thoughts running me crazy! Sometimes I wake up feeling scared with my heart beating fast. This is some signs of anxiety. I’m glad that I discovered that I have anxiety because I would still be confused to why “weird” things happen or bother me. Also, because it solved unanswered questions. I’m glad to know there are other people out here that are just like me. I don’t feel so alone anymore talking about anxiety.

Foods I Dislike (Des Blog-a-thon) #38

 1. Mushrooms: I will not eat any type of food with mushrooms in them.

2. Coleslaw: Yuck! That’s all I have to say about.

3. Potato Salad:  Every time when I see potato salad it’s at family cookouts. If you’re Southern and live in the USA we call it “Tatter Salad” lol. As southerners, we always have a funny way of saying some words.

4. Cherries: I can eat cherry flavored candy like Jolly Ranchers. I can’t eat real cherries though. They always didn’t taste right to me.

5. Lemon Peppered Wings: Honestly, I don’t see why people think these wings are so good. The flavor is yucky!! I’ll rather have Buffalo wings.

6. Raisins: Ever since I was a kid I couldn’t stand eating raisins. I never got used to the taste. They look like little bugs.

I’m not a picky eater but a good bit of foods I won’t eat. Do you like any of the foods that I dislike? What are foods that you dislike?

Writer’s Block (Des Blog-a-thon) #37

It’s an annoying feeling

One minute your head is full of ideas

And the next minute it goes completely blank

Helloooo brain WAKE UP!!

Writer’s block why did you have to attack me?

You picked the worse time to do it

I gave myself a strict deadline

Now, what am I suppose to do?

Sit here and wait?

Go away no one likes you!

3 Realistic Goals to Achieve (Des Blog-a-thon) #36

As I sit in my room thinking about life. I started to point out 3 realistic goals I want to meet. The following list will be down below…

1. To be happy: There were times when I thought I was truly happy, but that wasn’t true. I spent so much time pretending that everything is fine it trick me into thinking I was happy. Being happy is so important to me because I won’t feel miserable and will feel free. Happiness is easy to talk about but hard to create.

2. Be successful: Of course, this would be on my list. Everyone wants success but who is going to take the time to actually succeed?Nothing will stop me from reaching success. I’m going to work hard to reach the highest level. I deserve the gift of success. I’m hoping that my blog will be the opportunity to help me reach my future success.

3. Make a Positive Change: If I don’t make a huge positive change on Earth before I die. I will not satisfied. I have a strong passion for making this world a better place. Honestly, it doesn’t feel right to see horrible things happening and not doing anything about it. As long as I’m able to help others I’m going to try my best to create a positive effect. I know I talked about this in my other post. It’s something I’ll never get tired of mentioning.

Do you have any goals you want to achieve?

What I Do on my Lazy Days (Des Blog-a-thon) #35

Usually, I stay in the bed most of the day. I will find movies to watch or try to read a book. Most of the time I am chilling. Honestly, I feel glued to the bed. I literally can’t force myself to do anything. Sometimes I hate feeling that way because I have tasks that need to be done. Being lazy affects a variety of things sometimes. For example, making blog posts, cleaning up, doing homework. Today, it’s raining and the weather got me feeling lazy. Gloomy weather puts me in a sappy mood. I don’t know if any of you feel the same way during this type of weather. Does anyone else have lazy days?

5 Tips for Studying (Des Blog-a-thon) #34

Studying isn’t always fun, but we have to do it now and then. We all know it helps to study for a test because you’re likely to pass it. I’m not saying that it’s necessary for every situation, but it does give good results. Maybe the tips that you will read down below will make it easier for you to gain good study habits now or in the future.

1. Find a Quiet Area: This is an important tip. Studying in a quiet area helps your brain process information better. It would be hard to study in a noisy area because it knocks off your concentration. A quiet area could be the library, bathroom (yes, I said bathroom), closet… etc.

2. Use Flash Cards: Flash cards come in handy when you have to learn new vocabulary words to learn definitions to. Put the vocabulary word on the blank side of the card. On the side with the lines write the word definition. You can get a pack of flash cards in a dollar store (Dollar General, Dollar Tree, Family Dollar), Wal-Mart, and Staples. Honestly, it could be any store you can buy school supplies from.

3. Make up silly ways to remember info: Let’s be real when you come up with silly/creative ways to remember anything it sticks in your mind faster. Also, it’s easier to remember the material you studied for your test. This could be in the form of a song, video, drawing…etc. If you think about it this is another way to make studying fun.

4. Study with someone else: Studying isn’t the most fun thing ever. Why not study with someone else to make it exciting? This tip is only useful if both of you are serious about studying. I mean it doesn’t always have to be serious all the time, but you don’t want to waste your time studying with a friend or classmate without learning anything for the quiz or test coming up. Make sure the information you’re studying is the correct information for the quiz or test.

5. Take Breaks: You don’t need to strain your brain too much. Taking 10 minutes breaks throughout studying is fine. It helps your brain relax from all the information you were going over. Sometimes when you study too long without taking a break it can mess up your concentration or maybe give you a headache. Don’t over work yourself.

All of these tips will help you if you put it to good use. Everything in this post is from my experience. If any of these tips help you let me know.

Is it Worth It? (Des Blog-a-thon) #33

My blog is something worth continuing. I can see it’s potential. All my content I’m releasing intrigues, my readers.  I can see myself turning my blog into a full-time career. As you all can see I put a lot of time and effort into it. When it comes to my blog I take it seriously. I have to make sure everything is perfect in my eyes. Blogging makes me happy. Blogging is the best thing that ever happened to me. I’m glad I didn’t procrastinate on starting it. I came so far in the blogging world. This is one hobby I don’t regret doing. Like I said in a past post sometimes I start new hobbies then quit them cause I get bored. That didn’t happen with blogging though. Sometimes we don’t realize how much little things can make a big impact on our lives.

Do any of you have something worth continuing or fighting for now?

What I Look Forward to Every Week (Des Blog-a-thon) #32

To be truthful every week I look forward to putting out new posts for my blog. I don’t plan out ideas for the week ahead of time. Most of my blog topics come to me naturally without me stressing what to write about. I’m blessed to have natural ideas. Sometimes it’s not easy for others to have this ability.  Another thing I look forward to is new episodes of my favorite reality shows. Sometimes it’s hard to keep up with the times they come on because I watch so many. They give me entertainment. Even though they are full of drama it always finds a way to catch my full attention. I know that most of you probably have a favorite reality show you look forward to watching every week.

Basically, I’m ready for exciting events to happen to me throughout every week. Since most of the time, I feel like my life is boring a bit. That’s why I’ve gone out more often now. Every day on this Earth is not promised to me so I have to enjoy life while I can. I don’t know what will happen next when I leave this earth. Is there anything you look forward to every week?

Why am I Passionate about Helping Others? (Des Blog-a-thon) #31

Living in a chaotic world it’s hard to find good people. If you do find a good person cherish them. Be careful though some people are deceitful. Helping others makes me feel good. I will be a blessing in someone’s life. I love when there are smiles on their face by me giving them unexpected blessings.

It breaks my heart when someone is going through pain. All I want to do is be there for them and reassure them that they will be okay. Being there for someone when they are going through a tough situation can change their life. It will make them feel good to know that someone cares about them. I will be that “someone” for others. I want to see everyone happy and to feel safe is that too much to ask for?

Honestly, you’re not going to find too many people who are like me. I have a big heart and would like to be the superhero for everyone around the world. Up to this point, I always try my best to see people in a positive light. I don’t care what they did wrong in the past or what they are doing now because I’m not a judgmental person. Sometimes people have to put them self in dangerous situations to survive. I feel like my job is to help them out so they don’t have to go through situations like that. I want to build a safe environment for them.

Another thing I want to mention is that I always wanted some type of fame or influence people in a positive way.  I have a strong belief I can change the world.  Anything is possible. If nobody else wants to follow my journey with wanting to help others then I don’t mind standing alone.
